Position: Area Sales Manager

Who We Are

Longford International is the industry leader in Automatic Feeders and Custom Automation Systems for the Packaging, Label and Print Fulfilment Industries. Longford has approximately 21K machine installations in over 90 countries around the world.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Representative to join our team. The Representative will be based in our Scarborough Ontario head office and be responsible for the West/Southwest United States. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful sales and will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers to achieve sales goals and exceed targets. Compensation will be a competitive base salary, plus commission, expenses paid by Longford. The ideal candidate will live in the GTA to permit a reasonable commute to the Longford Office in Scarborough.

Responsibilities:

Identify and target new business opportunities, nurture and build on existing relationships.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions

Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing the sale and updates during the build process to Factory acceptance test.

Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, providing product information and resolving issues

Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, manufacturing, software, logistics to ensure customer needs are met

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of feeder applications for the Packaging, Printing and Pharmaceutical markets, competitor products.

Attend industry trade shows and events to network and generate leads

Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and forecast to management

Qualifications:

1. 5 years of experience in sales

2. Experience in industrial machinery sales is an advantage

3. Technical abilities are an advantage

4. Able to travel into the USA with no restrictions

5. This is an in-office opportunity at our Scarborough Location. Remote work is not possible

6. Willing to Travel into territory up to 40% of the time depending on project demand and time of year.

7. Team-player, able to communicate with several departments

8. Analise the need of interest of your contacts and jointly looking for the right/most appropriate solution.

9. Attend Industry Tradeshows, both locally and in the USA

10. Flexibility in working hours
